Hsdt Social Welfare Foundation

The Hsdt Social Welfare Foundation is located at 7-82 Ankamma Bavi Street in Panyam. This is a smaller town, so things move a bit slower than they do in the big cities. We are in the Mandal area, which is easy to find if you know the landmark of the bavi, or the well, nearby. The street is mostly houses, and our office at 7-82 fits right in with the rest of them. We do not have a big staff, just a few of us who come in every morning to handle the paperwork and meetings. The office has a small porch where we sit sometimes when the weather is nice. It is a very basic setup inside, with just the essential furniture we bought when we started. We don't spend money on fancy things because we are more focused on getting the daily tasks done. Panyam can get very quiet in the afternoons when the sun is at its peak. Most people go inside then, and we do the same, keeping the doors shut to stay cool. There is a lot of local talk that goes on in Ankamma Bavi Street, and we usually hear the latest news from the people walking past our front door. It’s an honest way to work, being right in the middle of where people live. We just keep our heads down and do what needs to be done each day without making too much of a fuss.
