Wadile Bricks

We are tucked away near Nandurbar Gaon at Wadile Bricks. It’s a bit quieter out here compared to being right in the middle of a big city, which I personally prefer. You get a lot of local folks from the gaon walking by or stopping in to chat for a minute. The work we do is pretty straightforward, just handling bricks all day. It’s heavy, it’s repetitive, and it definitely keeps you in shape. We’ve got our own little rhythm going on. Some days the wind kicks up a lot of dirt, and we’re all coughing by noon, but you just put a cloth over your face and keep moving. I’ve lived around Nandurbar Gaon most of my life, so I know a lot of the families who are building houses around here. It’s nice to see the stuff from our yard going into the walls of a neighbor's home. We don’t have any fancy technology, just basic tools and a lot of muscle. Sometimes the delivery trucks get stuck in the soft dirt near the entrance if it’s been raining, and then we have to spend half the morning digging them out. That’s just part of the life out here. We don't complain much, just get on with the next task on the list and hope for clear skies tomorrow. The stacks are always there, waiting for the next truck to arrive so we can load them up.
