Ujwal Farm House

Ujwal Farm House is located in Maloni Lonkheda, which is in the Shahada area. It’s out in the countryside where things are much different from the city. We spend most of our time outdoors or in the small shed we use as an office. The farm life means we are up early every morning before the sun really gets hot. There is a lot of dirt, some animals, and crops that need constant looking after. It’s hard work and your hands are rarely clean at the end of the day. We don't have any fancy technology out here, just the basic tools needed for farming and keeping the place together. Shahada is a place where people know their neighbors, so we often chat with people passing by the gate or the fence. The farm house itself is simple and has been around for many years. It needs a bit of paint here and there, but it’s where we run everything from. We don't have a marketing department or a sales team. We just grow what we can and deal with the challenges of the weather and the soil. Sometimes the rain doesn't come when we need it, and other times there is too much of it. That’s just how it goes with a farm. We don't make big promises, we just try to have a good season and keep everything running. It’s a quiet life in Maloni Lonkheda. We eat what we grow mostly.
