Karnadeep Spices

Out on Taloda Road, near Adeshwar Nagar, you will find our place at Plot No.14/A. The air around here always has a bit of a kick to it because of the spices we handle at Karnadeep Spices. It gets into your clothes and your hair. Even the people at the tea stall down the road say they can smell us coming. We have a fairly large shed where we do the grinding and the packing. It is not a modern factory with robots. It is just some old machines and people who know how to use them. We have to be careful with the bags so they don't tear. Sometimes the spice dust makes everyone sneeze at the same time, which is always a bit funny. We started with just one small machine and grew a little bit every year. We don't have a fancy office with air conditioning. We just have a desk in the corner with a big ledger and a phone that rings quite a lot. The sun hits the metal roof in the summer, making it very hot inside, but we have some big fans to move the air around. We mostly sell to the local shops and wholesalers. It is a messy job, but someone has to do it. We are just glad to be working in our own town.
