Dr. Bhushan Agiwal, Chitte Nagar, Nandurbar

Vrundawan Colony is a nice enough spot in Nandurbar, and that is where you will find Dr. Bhushan Agiwal’s place. We are at number 5 in Chitte Nagar. It is a regular residential area, so it doesn't feel like a cold hospital at all. We have a small porch where people often leave their shoes before coming inside. The floor is made of simple tiles that we sweep every morning before the first person arrives. Most people who come to see us are just neighbors from around Chitte Nagar. They come in with a cough or to get their blood pressure checked. The room where the doctor sits has a large wooden desk and a couple of chairs for patients. We have a small sink in the corner for washing up. Outside, you can usually hear the sound of a motorbike passing by or a pressure cooker whistling from one of the nearby houses. It is a very normal, everyday kind of place. We don't have a big sign with lights, just a small board so people know they have the right house. Sometimes the tap in the bathroom leaks a little bit, but we just put a bucket under it. We keep our records in a metal filing cabinet that squeaks when you open the drawers. It is just a small local practice where things move at a slow and steady pace most of the week. We like it being simple like this.
