Aakar India

Aakar India is located at Plot No:C-1/B-124/13 in the Gidc Estate, which is a bit of a mouthful to say if you are giving directions over the phone. We usually just tell people to look for the blue gate. This place is pretty much what you would expect from a small industrial unit. It’s noisy, there are always tools lying around, and someone is usually shouting to be heard over the machinery. We do our work here and try not to get in anyone’s way. The plot itself has its quirks, like that one corner where the roof leaks a tiny bit when it rains really hard, but we put a bucket there and keep going. Most of the staff has been together for years, so we know who takes their tea with too much sugar and who prefers to work in silence. We don't have a big corporate office or people in suits walking around. It’s just us in our work clothes, making sure the production stays on track. Some days are really busy and the floor is a mess of parts and crates, but we usually get it cleared up by the time we lock up for the evening. It’s just a regular shop where we put in our hours and try to do things the right way without making a big fuss about it. We just focus on the task at hand and try to stay productive throughout the week. It keeps the bills paid and our hands busy, which is all we really want.
