Rajmata Jijau Social Foundation

We are located out in Pisadevi, which is on the outskirts of Aurangabad. Specifically, we are at Gut Number 138. The place is actually care of Dadarao Laxman Pakhe, who has been around here for ages. It’s a bit of a journey to get here if you are coming from the main city center, as the roads can be a little rough and dusty. The area is quite open, almost like being in the countryside. Our office is a very simple building, nothing more than four walls and a roof to keep the sun off. We don't have any air conditioning, so we rely on the breeze that comes across the fields, which is nice until it gets really dusty in the dry months. Most of our work happens at a big wooden table where we sit and talk through things. There isn't a lot of traffic out here, so it's mostly just the sound of the wind or some local farm equipment nearby. We don't have a formal reception area or a sign on the gate. You just have to know which building it is. It’s a practical place for us to meet and get things organized. The lighting isn't great in the evenings, so we usually try to finish up before it gets too dark. It’s a very quiet and honest way to spend the day, away from the noise of the city.
