We operate out of Ayodhya Nagar in the Hudco area of New Nanded. The address is a bit of a mouthful, C/O G. B. Kotakalure at Nd42-J-22/3,4, but most locals can find their way here easily enough. Our office is basically a hub for all the construction activity we manage across the region. There are usually piles of cement samples or brick types sitting in the corner of the room. We spend a lot of time on our motorbikes going from one site to another to see how the slabs are being poured or if the masonry is straight. It’s a lot of physical work and the sun in this part of Maharashtra doesn't show much mercy. Back at the office, we have a couple of desks where we keep the ledger books and the site logs. We aren't big on using fancy software for everything; a lot of things are still written down by hand in big registers. We have a small crew that has been together for a long time, so we don't need to explain much to each other. Lunch is usually shared among whoever is in the office at the time. It gets pretty loud when the suppliers come by to negotiate prices. We just try to build things that will last and keep the customers satisfied without any big fuss. It is a simple life of measuring, digging, and building day after day.
