Painganga Foundation

If you’re ever in Mahoor, you’ll find Painganga Foundation right by the old bus stop. Our address is 409/2, and everyone in this part of Nanded knows where that is. It’s a bit of a landmark for us. Being in Nanded 431721 is different from being in a big city like Pune or Mumbai. Life moves at its own pace here. Our office isn't anything special to look at. It’s just a functional space near the transit hub. We get a lot of noise from the buses and the people traveling through, but it keeps us connected to the reality of the area. We aren't interested in being a big, polished organization. We just want to be useful here in Mahoor. Most of our days are spent talking to locals and seeing what’s needed on the ground. We don't have a big budget for fancy furniture, so we make do with what we have. It’s an honest, simple setup. Sometimes the electricity goes out and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. We don't have any big corporate goals. We just want to do right by the people in this district. The Painganga river is a big part of this region, and we named ourselves after it because it’s the lifeblood of the land. We’re just a small foundation trying to do our part without any fuss. It’s hard work, but we like it here.
