Nagur is where we do our work, and it moves at a much different pace than the bigger cities. Being part of the Jai Corp setup but based in the Lohara taluka means we are right in the middle of things. Most mornings start early because the Osmanabad sun is no joke. The office is located right at the post in the village area. Much of our time is spent on manual tracking for everything that comes in and out of the yard. We talk to people from the nearby farms and keep a close eye on the supplies. When the wind picks up, the dust gets everywhere, so we are constantly wiping down the desks. You won't find any huge glass buildings here like in Mumbai. It is just a solid, practical place to work from each day. Lunch is usually whatever we brought from home, and we sit together to talk about the local news or the crops. Working at Nagur is straightforward, but it takes the whole day to get things finished properly. If the electricity goes out for a bit, we just switch to doing the paper logs by hand and wait for the lights to come back. In the evenings, once the trucks stop moving, it gets very quiet. We lock the gates and head home. Even though we are far from the main district office, we keep everything running smooth here. It feels like a small family. We stay here until the work is done.
