Apsara Jewellers

Apsara Jewellers has been sitting here near Habib Talkies on Mohammed Ali Road for quite some time. If you know the area near the Itwara Police Station you have probably walked past us. The road is always packed with people and the sound of horns is just part of the background. Our shop isn't very large but we have enough room for the counter and a few stools. We mostly deal with the locals who live around here or people who are coming to the market for their shopping. It is a very old neighborhood and the buildings show their age but that is part of the charm I guess. We spend the day showing different pieces to families or fixing a broken chain that someone brought in. There is a lot of dust from the street so we are constantly wiping down the counters. We know most of the shop owners nearby and we often share tea in the afternoons when things quiet down a bit. It’s a simple life running a jewelry shop in this part of town. You see all kinds of people walking by. Sometimes we just sit near the door and watch the world go by when it isn't busy. We don't have any big advertisements or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that we have been in this spot long enough for people to know we are here.
