We operate out of a small unit, Nd- 120, in Sankar Nagar over in the Cidco New area. It’s a modest setup where we focus on ballpens. There are boxes of plastic casings and ink refills stacked up almost to the ceiling in some parts of the room. It’s a bit of a tight space, but we have a system that works for us. We spend our days making sure the assembly is going right and that the pens actually write like they should. It’s repetitive work, sitting at the benches and checking the quality of the batches, but it’s what keeps the lights on. The neighborhood is mostly residential and small businesses, so it’s relatively quiet around here compared to the main roads. We aren't a big corporation with hundreds of employees. It’s just a small group of us handling the production and packing everything into boxes for delivery. Sometimes the machines act up and we have to spend the afternoon fixing a belt or a motor, which is just part of the job. We don’t have a fancy storefront. People who know we are here usually just come to the door if they need to pick something up. It’s a practical, no-nonsense kind of place. We focus on the task at hand and try to keep things organized despite the limited space. It’s a steady rhythm of work that we’ve gotten used to over the years. We just keep our heads down and keep the machines running.
