Vinayaka Roadlines & Travels

Vinayaka Roadlines & Travels is based over in Sankagiri. Most people in this part of Salem know the area for the transport business, so we fit right in. We have got a mix of things going on here, dealing with both roadlines and general travel. It is a lot of work keeping track of everything. The office stays pretty dusty because of all the trucks moving around this town all day. We do not have a fancy waiting room or anything. Usually, people just stand out front or sit on the bench while we figure out the details of their trip. We do a lot of local trips, but sometimes we get requests for longer hauls. My uncle started this a long time ago and we just kept it going. It is a family thing, really. We know most of the regular drivers on this route. Sometimes the phone rings off the hook and other days it is quiet. We do not spend money on big signs or posters. Everyone knows where the office is in Sankagiri anyway. We just write down the names and times in the ledger. It is straightforward work. If a vehicle needs repair, we take it to the mechanic down the street. We just try to keep things moving. It is not always easy with the fuel prices and all, but we manage. That is just who we are and what we do here in town.
