Our office for Sri Samayapurathal Chitfund Private Limited is located at 1/237 Vinayakar Kovil Street in Naducombai. This is in the Namakkal district, and it’s a very quiet area compared to the main town. You’ll see the Vinayakar temple nearby, which is how most people find their way to us. The street is narrow and lined with houses. We operate out of a small space that serves as the hub for all our chit fund activities. Most of the people who come to us are farmers or small shop owners from the local village. They come in to drop off their monthly amounts or to check on the drawings. It’s a very local affair. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who know how to handle the accounts and keep the records straight. The air is usually fresh because we are away from the heavy city traffic. We spend a lot of time writing in our books and talking to the people who stop by. Sometimes people bring us news from the market or just sit for a bit to rest before heading back to their fields. It’s a very simple operation. We don’t have any fancy decorations on the walls, just the calendars and maybe a photo of the deity. It’s just a normal workplace for normal people.
