Ruby Stones (P) Ltd. is out here in Veppadai, specifically at 299/B Elanthakuttai Post. Being in the Namakkal district, we are a bit away from the big city rush, which is fine by us. We work with stones, so things can get quite heavy and dusty around here. The yard is usually full of raw materials waiting to be processed. We’ve got a small crew of locals who know their way around the yard. It's a lot of physical labor, and the sun can be quite hot in this part of the country. We don't have a fancy lobby or air-conditioned offices. Most of our meetings happen standing up in the yard or sitting on some blocks. We just focus on the stone work and getting it ready for transport. The trucks come and go on the dusty roads. It’s a straightforward life. We don't put much stock in flashy marketing. Most people find us because they need stone and heard we were reliable. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the people in the area. The equipment we use is old but we keep it in good shape. It’s not an easy job, but it’s honest work. Every day is about moving, cutting, and sorting. That’s what we do at 299/B. It’s simple, and it works for us. Even when it rains and the ground gets muddy, we find a way to keep the work going until the day is done.
