We have been here for a while and most of the people in the area know where we are. We don't have any big signs or fancy lights. It’s just a plain building where we do our work. We manage the hotel and keep things running day to day. It’s mostly family and local staff who work here. We don't have a mission statement or any of that corporate stuff. We just wake up, open the doors, and start working. There is always cleaning to do or bills to sort out. We use simple ledgers and try to keep things organized. Sometimes we sit outside on the steps when it’s not too hot. It’s a very local way of doing things. We don't try to compete with the big chains in the cities. We just focus on our own business here in Rasipuram. People come and go, and we try to be helpful when they need something. It’s not a fancy life, but it’s our life. We’ve been on North Kacheri Street for years and we know the rhythms of the neighborhood. It’s just us doing what we know how to do, day in and day out.
