Pskarun Tex is our small business based out of Pallipalayam in the Namakkal district. We are right there on Kamraj Nagar, number 32 in the Periyakadu area. If you know this part of Tamil Nadu, you know it’s all about the textiles. We fit right in with the rest of the shops and units around here. The work is steady but it’s not always easy. We deal with the fabric and the trade side of things every day. The building is a simple one, nothing too modern. We have been here for a while and the neighbors are all in the same line of work. There’s always the sound of transport moving goods through the streets. We don't spend much on advertising or making things look pretty. Our main goal is just to finish the orders we have on the books. It’s a family-run kind of feel, even though we are a private limited company. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the yarn prices. That’s how life goes in Pallipalayam. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to provide for our families and keep the machines running when they need to. It’s a regular life for us, doing the work we've always done in this part of town.
