Being near the Forest Office means we see a lot of green, but inside our shop, it’s all about white frames and glass. We do a lot of cutting and measuring throughout the week. UPVC is good material, but you have to be precise or the windows won't shut right. We spend our mornings loading the truck and our afternoons at the workbench. It’s a bit noisy with the saws going all the time. Shop No 1 isn’t huge, so we have to keep the floor clear of scraps and plastic shavings. People stop by to ask for quotes or to see the different types of handles we have in stock. We don't use any big sales pitches or fancy words. We just show them the samples and tell them how long it will take to make the frames. Some jobs are small, just one bathroom window, and others are for whole houses. We take our time to get the joints right. Sometimes the weather makes it hard to work on-site, but we stay busy in the shop anyway. My hands are usually covered in dust or sealant by five o'clock. We’ve been at this location for a while now. Most people find us because they saw our truck parked somewhere or heard from a neighbor. We aren't a big factory, just a local fabrication unit. We focus on getting the measurements right so we don't have to go back twice. It’s simple, physical work that keeps us busy from Monday to Saturday every week.
