Lakshmi Traders

We run Lakshmi Traders from No. 6/68 on Salem Road. We are in Namakkal H.O., very close to the Anjeneyar Kovil. If you know the temple, you know exactly where we are. It’s a good location because so many people visit the area for the temple, so we get to see a lot of faces. We are mostly a trading business, so our days are spent checking orders, talking to suppliers, and moving stock around. The building isn't new, and it has that old-school feel to it. We don't have any high-tech systems or a polished front office. We use ledgers and keep things simple. Sometimes the dust from Salem Road gets into the shop, so we spend a lot of time cleaning. It’s just part of being on a main road. We don't do a lot of shouting about our business. People in Namakkal know us, and we know them. We’ve built a reputation just by showing up every day and doing what we said we would do. Some days are slow and we just sit outside and watch the traffic go by the Kovil. Other days are a total rush. It’s a modest way to live and work. We aren't trying to change the world; we are just trying to run a regular trading shop that people can count on when they need something from our inventory. That is just how it is here. We like the pace of things on Salem Road.
