Lacking Traders

Our place is out at 48 Neikkarappatti, right along the Tiruchengode Road. Being on the main road means we see a lot of traffic passing by, from big lorries to small scooters. It is a dusty spot, especially when the wind picks up, but it makes it easy for people to find us. We handle different kinds of trade goods here. The building is a simple structure with enough space for storage and a small area where we do our paperwork. We do not have a big team or a human resources department. It is just us doing the daily chores and talking to the people who drop by. Some days we spend more time drinking tea and chatting with the drivers than actually moving stock. It is a slow-paced kind of life, which is fine by us. We are not trying to expand into a massive empire. We just want to keep things running smoothly and pay the bills. The floor is concrete and the roof is tin, so it gets a bit loud when it rains. We have lived in this area for a long time, so we know most of the families around here. We do not have a fancy mission statement or anything like that. We just show up in the morning, open the gates, and see what the day brings. It is an honest way to spend the time, and we are used to the rhythm of the road.
