Karthick Cool Drinks

Started on Mohanur Road a long time ago. It’s mostly just us here at 7/35 in the Kongu Nagar area. Every morning I come in around seven and the first thing I do is check if the coolers are still running right. If the power goes out during the night it’s a big headache for everybody because nobody wants a warm soda. People walking by to work always want something cold to hold them over. We don't do anything fancy here, just the usual sodas and water bottles you'd expect. Sometimes the road gets really dusty with all the trucks and cars passing by and I have to wipe down the counters every hour. My younger nephew helps me out on the weekends when he isn't busy with his school stuff. We know most of the folks who live in this part of town by their names. They stop for a quick chat and a bottle of something sweet. The shop isn't very big at all, so we have to stack the crates pretty high in the back room just to make space. It’s been here for many years and we just keep doing the same thing day after day. Nothing much ever changes on this side of Mohanur Road. The sign is a bit faded from the afternoon sun but everyone knows where we are located. It’s a lot of lifting and moving heavy crates which gets me tired.
