Arun Ice Cream

We are based over at No:191A on Mohanur Road, which is right in the K K Nagar neighborhood. It is a pretty well-known street around this part of town. Being Arun Ice Cream, we see a whole lot of different people passing by our door every single day. The shop itself is very simple. We do not have any of those shiny glass fronts or expensive carpets you see in the malls. It is just a plain tiled floor and our various cooling units lined up against the walls. The road outside can get incredibly loud during the morning and evening rush hours. We just try to stay focused on what we are doing inside the shop. Every day feels a little bit different, but the main goal is always the same—just keep the business going for another day. We have lived and worked in this area for years, so we know most of the neighbors pretty well by now. It is a good, solid community to be a part of. We do not have any big corporate goals or fancy ways of talking about ourselves. We just show up at 191A and get to work. Sometimes the summer heat gets to be a bit much, but we just keep the fans going and stay busy. It is an honest way to make a living and support ourselves. People know us by name around K K Nagar. We are not trying to be the biggest company out there.
