Our place is right on Athiyapalayam Road, directly across from CMS College. It’s a good landmark because everyone knows where the college is. We do a lot of packing work here, which means we’re always surrounded by rolls of plastic, cardboard boxes, and rolls of tape. It’s a lot of physical work, moving things around and making sure they’re wrapped up tight so they don't get damaged. We see a lot of students and faculty walking by every day. The shop isn't anything fancy, just a workspace where we get things ready for transport. Sometimes it’s quiet, and other times we have a mountain of stuff that needs to be packed by the end of the day. We don't really have a front office with a receptionist. You just walk in and someone will be there working on a pallet. We’ve been in this spot for a while now and the routine is pretty much the same every single day. We start early, get the coffee going, and then start packing. It’s honest work and it keeps us on our feet all day. We don't use any big machines, it’s mostly just us using our hands and making sure everything is secure. If you’re passing by the college, you’ll probably see us loading a truck or moving some crates around on the sidewalk. That’s just life at Amman Packing. It’s a simple job but it keeps us busy and we like the neighborhood well enough.
