Satyanarayan Rice Mill

Satyanarayan Rice Mill is located in the Main Market on Nanoor Chandidas Road. We are right near the Shantiniketan School, so we get to hear the school bells and the noise of children every day. Running a rice mill isn't a clean or quiet job. It’s full of heavy machinery, the smell of raw husks, and a lot of dust that seems to get everywhere. We are a local business, through and through. Farmers from around the area bring their harvest to us, and we spend our hours processing it. The equipment we use is sturdy but old, and it needs a lot of looking after. We don't have any polished office space or a receptionist. If you come by, you’ll likely find us in our work clothes, probably busy with the machines. The market is a hub of activity, especially early in the morning when everyone is setting up. We’ve been here long enough that the sounds of the mill feel like background noise to the whole neighborhood. We don't have big ambitions of becoming a massive corporation. We just want to keep the mill running and do our part in the market. Some days the heat under the tin roof is quite a bit to handle, but we just keep at it. It’s honest, hard work, and it’s what we know how to do here on Nanoor Chandidas Road.
