Yadi Reddy Poultry Farm & Feeds

Down here in Vemulakonda, at Sy. No. 236/E & 237/E, you will find our farm. Yadi Reddy Poultry Farm & Feeds has been out in this part of Valigonda for a long time. Life on a poultry farm is mostly about the routine of the birds and the weather. We wake up early, usually before the sun is even fully up, to check on everything. The air out here is a bit different than the city, much quieter except for the sounds of the farm. We have the feed stored in the sheds, and there is always a lot of heavy lifting involved in moving those bags around. The ground can get quite muddy when it rains, so we spend a lot of time cleaning up and making sure things stay dry. It’s hard work, and our clothes usually end up smelling like the farm by the end of the shift. We don’t have an office with air conditioning or anything like that. Most of our time is spent outside or in the sheds. People from the surrounding villages come by to pick up what they need for their own animals. We don’t really have a big marketing plan; we just focus on the daily tasks at hand. It is a very practical way to live and work. Some days are long, especially when the weather is hot, but we just keep at it until the work is finished for the day.
