Vijaya Durga Earth Movers.

We've been around Thunga Pahad for a while now. Most people know us for the machines. My cousin and I started Vijaya Durga Earth Movers because there was a lot of digging and land clearing work needed in Miryalaguda and we had the equipment ready. It’s a lot of dust and long hours in the sun, especially during the peak season when everyone wants their plot leveled at the same time. We keep our yard at D. No. 4-32 in the SC Colony area. It isn't a fancy office with air conditioning or anything, just a place where we park the backhoes and take calls. Sometimes the phone rings early in the morning before we’ve even had tea. We try to get to the sites on time, but sometimes the roads near Nalgonda are tricky for heavy gear. People just stop by the house if they need help with a foundation or some trenching work. We mostly work with locals we’ve known for years. It’s hard work, keeping the engines running and making sure the operators show up, but it pays the bills. If you're driving through Thunga Pahad, you might see our yellow machines parked near the village. We aren't doing anything big or global, just handling the dirt and rock around here. It’s steady work and we like being part of the community. We don't have a big staff, just a few guys who know how to handle the levers.
