Venkateshwara Tent House

If you go over to Dorapally in the Kangal mandal, you’ll find us at Venkateshwara Tent House. We spend most of our time loading and unloading poles, heavy fabric, and chairs. It’s hard work, especially when we have to set everything up under the hot sun for a village function or a wedding. We’ve got stacks of different colored cloths and all the metal frames piled up at our place. It’s not the kind of job where you stay clean; there’s always dust from the roads and sweat from the lifting. We don’t have a fancy office or a secretary answering phones. Usually, someone just comes by or calls us up when they have an event coming up in the district. We’ve been doing this in this part of Telangana for a long time, and we know the roads and the villages around here pretty well. Sometimes the rain makes things difficult, and we have to move fast to keep the fabric from getting ruined, but that’s just part of the business. We don't make big promises or use big words. We just show up with the truck, put the tent up where it needs to go, and then take it down when the party is over. It’s practical work that keeps the community going during their celebrations. Our address is well-known to the locals, and we’re just glad to keep the business running year after year. It's tough on the back sometimes but seeing the setup finished makes the long hours worth it.
