Srinivasa Rice Industries

Out in Village Gumurgali at Plot No.34 things are usually a bit quieter than in the big cities. Srinivasa Rice Industries is situated right in the heart of the district and we have been working this land and this mill for a good while. The plot is fairly large but we use every inch of it for storing and processing. When harvest time comes around the place gets absolutely hectic with tractors and trailers lining up outside. You can hear the hum of the mill from quite a distance away. I usually spend my mornings checking the moisture levels and making sure the bags are stacked properly so they don't tip over. It’s a lot of physical labor and by the end of the day everyone is pretty tired. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy things about us. We are just local people who know how to handle rice. The village is small so news travels fast and everyone knows what we are up to. Sometimes the power goes out and we just have to sit and wait which is part of living out here I guess. We keep the equipment running as best as we can and try to stay ahead of the weather. It’s a simple life focused on the work at hand and we don’t really need it to be anything else.
