Sai Granites

Sai Granites is over in Sri Ram Nagar. Our address is a long string of numbers, 1/6/141/43/3/5, but once you get to the neighborhood, it is easy to spot us because of the stone. We have slabs of granite piled up all over the place. It is heavy work. Every day involves lifting and moving these massive pieces of rock. We have a lot of dust because of the cutting and polishing. You can't really escape it. We wear masks sometimes but you still feel it. Sri Ram Nagar is where we have our yard. It is mostly an outdoor setup with some roofing for the machines. We don't have a fancy showroom with lights and carpets. If you want to see the stone, you just walk around the yard with us. We get all kinds of granite with different colors and patterns. Some of it is local and some comes from further away. The workers here have strong backs and rough hands. That is just the nature of the business. We don't do much in the way of selling. Most of our work comes from people who are building houses nearby. They see the slabs and stop in to ask about prices. We don't use a lot of big words or sales pitches. We just show them what we have and let them decide. It is a hard job but there is something nice about working with stone every day.
