Sri Lakshmi Narsimha Swamy Poultry Farm & Feeds

Out here in Velidanda, life is a bit different than in the city. We run Sri Lakshmi Narsimha Swamy Poultry Farm & Feeds at Sy. No. 435. It’s a lot of manual labor. The birds need feeding early, and there is always something to fix or clean. Garidepally is a quiet place mostly, but the farm is noisy with the chickens and the machinery we use to mix the feed. We spend most of our time out in the sheds or in the storage area where the bags are kept. It smells like grain and earth around here. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, like when the heavy rains come and the ground gets all muddy. We have to wear heavy boots and just get on with it. We sell feed to other people around here too. It’s a lot of heavy lifting, moving 50kg bags from one spot to another. My shoulders are usually sore by the time I get home. We don’t have a website or a big marketing team. People just know where we are. We've been at this for a while, and it's basically all we do from sunup to sundown. Sometimes a machine breaks, and we have to wait for someone to come from the town to fix it. It’s just how it is. We keep the birds fed and the feed moving. It’s a steady life, even if it’s tiring for everyone involved.
