Sri Krishna Govula Samrakshana Shallafoundation is out here in Mellachervu Village. We've been around at House Number 11-207 for a while now. Most people in the Huzurnagar Assembly area know where we are. It’s a quiet spot in Suryapet District. We basically spend our days looking after the cows. It’s hard work, honestly. Every morning starts early with cleaning and making sure there is enough fodder. The weather gets pretty hot here, so water is always on our minds. We didn't really plan to start a big foundation or anything, it just happened because there were animals that needed a place. Some of us grew up around here and just couldn't see them wandering without care. We don't have a fancy office or a lot of staff. It’s just a few of us from the village and some neighbors who drop by to help when they can. Sometimes the rains make the roads a bit messy, but we manage. People stop by to see the cows or just to say hello. It's just a part of life in this corner of the district. We don’t do much advertising or anything like that because everyone around Mellachervu knows what we’re doing. We just try to keep things running day to day. It’s not always easy to find what we need, but we make it work with what we have. That’s pretty much us, just keeping busy at our spot in the village and doing what needs to be done.
