Ajanta Weaving Industries

We are tucked away in Shanti Nagar Colony No. 2, specifically in Sector No. 12/4. If you are looking for us, we are right near the Vitthal Mandir in Bhosari. You can usually hear the looms before you see the building. It’s a steady rhythmic sound that we’ve all grown accustomed to over the years. The floor is usually covered in bits of thread and fabric, no matter how much we try to sweep it up. It’s just the nature of weaving. My cousins and I run the day-to-day things here. We started with just a couple of machines and slowly added more as we could afford them. The lighting inside isn't the best, but the weavers know their machines by heart anyway. Being near the Mandir is nice because the area feels a bit more grounded. Sometimes we step out when the bells ring just to get a breath of air. Bhosari is an industrial area, so there are shops like ours everywhere, but we have our own little corner here in Shanti Nagar. We don't have a big marketing team or a website that looks professional. It’s just us, the machines, and the orders we need to get out by the end of the week. Sometimes we stay late when a big batch is due, drinking tea and keeping the machines running into the evening. It’s a living, and we’re glad to have it. The work is hard but the routine keeps us going.
