Sankaraiah Cattle Rearing

Life in Harijanawada, Jangam, revolves around the animals. We don't have a big office; our work is right there in the sheds and the fields. Sankaraiah Cattle Rearing is basically just us waking up before the sun to feed the cows and buffaloes. There’s always cleaning to do, and the water troughs need filling constantly. The routine doesn't change much from Monday to Sunday. Animals don't take holidays, so neither do we. We take the cattle out when the weather is good and keep them sheltered when it rains too hard. It’s simple, honest work that keeps us busy from dawn until it gets dark. We sell what we produce to the locals and the nearby collectors. There’s no big mystery to it.
