Sales & Despatch

This is where we handle the sales and despatch for Rain Cements Ltd out in Ramapuram. My name is Esakki Murugeshan's son and I’ve been working here for a bit. We are located in Melacheruvu Mandal, Nalgonda district. It’s a lot of coordination with trucks and paperwork every single day. The dust from the cement is always around, but you get used to it after a week. We make sure the bags get loaded and the drivers know where they are going. It’s a lot of shouting over engine noise and checking lists to make sure nothing is missing. The sun beats down on the yard pretty hard in the afternoons, especially in May. Sometimes the trucks are late and we have to wait around, which makes for long evenings at the post. We aren't some big corporate office; we are right here where the action is. People come by asking about orders and we try to give them a straight answer. It’s a practical job and we don't have time for fancy talk. We just need to move the product out so the builders can do their thing. My father worked in this kind of stuff too, so it feels very familiar to me. We keep our boots dirty and our ledgers as tidy as we can manage. It’s just steady work in the heart of the cement area, and it keeps us moving.
