Rudrakshi Salamma

I live and work at house number 134 in Koppolu village, which is tucked away in the Gurrampode Mandal area. It’s a very quiet place out here in Telangana, far away from the noise of the big cities. My daily life involves taking care of the work around the house and the small bits of business we handle locally. We don't have a big company or a shop with a sign; it’s just our home where we manage things. Sometimes we have things to sell from the land, or we help neighbors with whatever they might need. The house is a plain building that’s seen many years, and we’ve done our best to keep it standing strong. We deal with the heat and the dust just like everyone else in the village. There are no fancy offices or computers here. We do everything the old-fashioned way, using our hands and keeping records in a simple notebook. You might hear the goats or the chickens in the yard while we are talking. People in Koppolu know where to find me if they need anything. It’s a simple existence, based on hard work and the rhythm of the seasons. We don't have any big plans to expand or change things; we just want to keep doing what we do and looking after our family in this little corner of the world.
