Ruchi Poultry Farm & Feeds

The farm is located at Sy. No. 264 and 265 in Nemaragomula village. It is out in the Bibinagar area, so there is plenty of space but also plenty of dirt and wind. We wake up very early because the birds don't wait for anyone. The sound of the poultry is the first thing you hear in the morning. We spend our time checking the feed levels and making sure the water lines are working. There is a lot of heavy lifting with the bags of feed that come in. The sheds are long and require a lot of walking back and forth. It’s a dusty environment and we usually have mud on our boots if it has rained even a little bit. We keep track of everything in simple notebooks kept in a small shack near the entrance. Trucks come and go, either bringing in supplies or taking things to the market. It is a physical job that doesn't have many breaks. The weather in T. S. can be harsh on the animals, so we are always watching the temperature. We don't have a fancy office or uniforms. We just wear what is comfortable for working in the dirt and sun. It is a quiet life out here in the village, away from the city noise. We just focus on the birds and the feed and making sure everything stays moving as it should.
