J. B. Textiles is based in Nalgonda, specifically at 6/1/800/1 in the Spt Market area of Ramagiri. If you know the market, you know it’s always crowded and full of people looking for different types of cloth. Our shop is right in the thick of it. The address can be a bit confusing for people who haven't visited before because the numbering in Ramagiri is all over the place. Inside the shop, we have rolls of fabric stacked up almost to the ceiling. It smells like fresh cotton and dye most of the time. There are no chairs for us to sit on throughout the day because we are constantly moving around, pulling down heavy bolts of cloth for people to see. The lighting isn't great, just some old tube lights that flicker sometimes when the power fluctuates. We have a small wooden desk where the accounts are kept, and it’s usually buried under scraps of paper and measuring tapes. It gets very humid during the monsoon, and we have to be careful that the dampness doesn't get to the stock. The market outside is loud with vendors shouting and scooters honking their horns constantly. We’ve been here for a long time, and the shop has become a bit of a second home for us. We don't bother with fancy displays or marketing stuff. People come in, they look at what we have, and we cut the length they need. It’s just honest work in a busy Nalgonda market.
