The shop is at H No 3 58 on Alair Road in Raghunathpuram. People around here know us because we have been in this spot for quite a while now. We sell different types of cloth and ready-made things for the local folks. It is not a very big place, just a regular shop where we keep stacks of fabric on the shelves. Most days it is just me and maybe one helper looking after the customers who come in from the nearby villages. We try to keep what people need for weddings or just regular daily wear. Sometimes it gets really busy during the festival times and the shop feels a bit crowded with all the bundles of cloth everywhere. Raghunathpuram is a quiet place usually, but the road gets some traffic. We open early in the morning and stay until late evening. There is always some dusting to do because of the road outside. We have various colors and materials like cotton and silks. People come in, look at the stuff, bargain a bit, and we wrap it up for them. It is simple work, really. We just try to have enough stock so no one goes back empty-handed. If you are passing by Alair Road, you will see our sign. It is just a plain shop where we do our business every day without much fuss. We know most of our regular customers by name. That is how it is in a place like this.
