Puttala Gangamma.

Puttala Gangamma. is the name of our little spot here on the Main Road in Vemulapally. We are at house number 7-174, right near the MRO office. Being so close to the office means there are always people walking by. It’s a busy part of the village. We’ve been here for quite some time, and the building has seen better days, but it’s home. We don't have a big sign with lights. Usually, people just know it’s the house near the government building. We handle all sorts of daily tasks and help out the folks who come into town for their paperwork. There’s always a bit of a breeze coming off the road, which helps in the afternoons. We have some benches outside where people can sit if they’re waiting. It’s not a fancy waiting room, just some wood and some shade. My daughter helps me with the day-to-day things. We don't use computers or fancy machines, mostly just paper and pens. Sometimes we run out of ink and have to send someone to the shop down the street. Life here in Telangana is pretty simple. We know most of the people who pass by every day. We don't do much in the way of promotion. People just know we are here if they need us. That’s how it’s always been for us in Vemulapally. The tea shop next door usually has a crowd, so there is always noise and life around the house.
