Mandal Parishad Upper Primary School

Mandal Parishad Upper Primary School is right here on the Main Road in Mathanagar, Kodad. It’s a busy spot, especially in the mornings when all the kids start showing up. You can hear the noise from the street long before you even step inside the gates. We’ve been here for a while now, and the building shows its age a bit, but it serves us well enough. Usually, the day starts with the bell ringing loud enough to wake the whole neighborhood. The teachers get here early to sort out their books and get the chalk ready for the day. Most of our classrooms have those old wooden benches that have seen better days. It gets a bit hot during the summer months, but we have some fans that keep the air moving. During the lunch break, everyone heads out to the small yard area. You’ll see kids running around or sitting under the few trees we have left. It’s not a fancy place, just a regular school where we try to get through the lessons every day without too much trouble. Sometimes the power goes out, and we just open the windows wider to let the light in. We keep things simple here because that is what works for us in this part of Kodad. By the time the final bell rings in the afternoon, the Main Road is packed again with parents and cycles. We just pack up, lock the doors, and get ready to do it all over again the next morning.
