At H No 6-6 in Narayanapuram, you’ll find us working on Malathi Rice Cultivation. This isn't an office job. We spend most of our time out in the fields or dealing with the harvest. Rice is what we know and what we’ve done for a long time. The address is just where we keep the equipment and handle the business side of things. It’s a practical life, following the seasons and the rain. Some years are better than others, depending on the weather. We don't have a website or a big sales team. We just grow the rice and make sure it’s processed right. It’s hard work that starts early in the morning. Our hands are usually dirty and we’re often tired by the end of the day, but that’s farming for you. Narayanapuram is a good place for what we do. Everyone around here knows each other. We aren't looking to become a huge brand. We just want to keep the land productive and provide good grain. When the harvest is in, things get very hectic and we don't get much sleep. But when things settle down, it’s a good life. We’ve lived here a long time and the rice cultivation is just part of who we are. No fancy slogans, just the crops and the work. I guess we've been here forever and will be here for a long time more.
