You can find us on DVK Road in Nalgonda town. We’ve been at Sy. No. 115 for quite a while. Making ice in a place as hot as Nalgonda is a constant battle against the sun. The machinery is old but it works well enough for what we need. It’s very cold inside the freezing rooms, which is a big contrast to the dusty road right outside our gate. We spend our time lifting heavy blocks of ice and loading them onto the back of carts and trucks. It’s slippery work and you have to be careful with your feet. The floor is always wet, and there is a constant mist in the air from the cooling process. We don't have any big marketing brochures or a website. Most people just know we are here on DVK Road when they need to keep things cool. The noise of the compressors is something that stays in your ears long after you go home at night. We just do our work and try to keep the machines running through the power cuts that happen sometimes. It’s a simple, honest business. We’ve been part of the Nalgonda community for years, and we just keep doing the same thing day after day. It’s hard work, but someone has to make the ice for the town. We wouldn't have it any other way even with the cold fingers and the long shifts. There is always a line of people waiting when the sun is really beating down in the summer.
