Kadamanchi Lakshmi

Living and working in Rampuram is a very different experience than being in a big town. Our address is H.No:2-14 and it is located in the Nereducherla area. Here, the day starts when the light hits the fields. Kadamanchi Lakshmi stays busy with a lot of different tasks throughout the day. It’s the kind of place where the village life and work are all mixed together. You can’t really separate them. We have our routines that depend on the time of year. There are no fancy computers or high-tech setups here. We use what we have and we make it work. The house is old but sturdy. Sometimes the cows from the neighbor's place wander a bit too close to the door. It’s all very natural. We don’t spend time writing reports or having long meetings. We just talk over tea and decide what needs to happen next. The roads around here can be a bit rough, especially after a big storm, so we don't travel much if we don't have to. People in the village know us by name, and that’s better than any business card. We do our work honestly and don't make any big promises we can't keep. It is a quiet life for the most part, but there is always something that needs fixing or someone who needs a hand with something. It’s just our daily life in the district.
