D.B. Travels. operates out of house number 7 in Bheemla Thanda. We are located in the village of Bandameedi Chandupatla, which is part of Chivemla. Our setup is pretty simple. We have a few vehicles that we keep parked near the house. Most of our work involves driving people where they need to go around Telangana. We know these roads like the back of our hands. It started out with just one car, and over time, we added another. It’s not a big set of cars from a company. We keep the keys on a hook behind the front door. My brother does most of the driving, and I handle the phone calls. Sometimes the phone rings at odd hours, but that’s just the nature of travel work. We don't have a fancy office in the city. People just know to come to Bheemla Thanda when they need a ride for a wedding or a trip to the hospital. The roads around here can be a bit bumpy, so we spend a lot of time cleaning the dust off the cars. We try to keep them running well because people rely on us. It’s a lot of long hours, but we like being on the move. We’ve met a lot of interesting people over the years just by driving them around the district. Usually, we keep some extra water in the back for the passengers because the heat can be tough. We just take it easy and try to get people to their destination on time.
