Darmi Travels. is located at house number 7-14 in Beemla Thanda. You can find us in the village of Damera Bheemanapally, over in Marriguda. We’ve been part of this community in Telangana for many years. The travel business is something we got into because people always needed a way to get to the bigger towns. We don't have a big station or a ticket counter. Everything happens right here at the house. Usually, someone walks up to the gate and asks if a car is available for the next day. We have a small notebook where we write down all the trips. It’s a bit old-fashioned, but it works for us. The yard is often full of kids playing while we’re trying to wash the vehicles. Marriguda is a nice place, though it can get very hot in the summer. We make sure the air conditioning is working before any long trip. My uncle used to do this work, and now I’ve taken over most of it. We know all the shortcuts and the best places to stop for tea along the highway. We don't try to be anything we aren't. We’re just a local family with a few cars trying to provide a way for people to travel. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy throughout the week. We try to keep the cars clean, but the dust from the Thanda roads is a constant battle. Sometimes we have to spend all Sunday just scrubbing them.
