Ganesh Cotton

You’ll find us at Sy No 361 / 379 in Chityal Village. We are located right near the Krishna Cotton Mills, so it gets pretty busy on this stretch of road with all the transport trucks. Ganesh Cotton is a straightforward operation. We don’t have a front desk or anyone to answer phones all day long. Most of the time, we’re out on the floor working with the raw material. The air is always thick with lint and it sticks to everything. It’s just how it is in this business. We’ve been at this for a bit now and the routine stays the same. Chityal is a decent place to work, and the people are friendly enough. The locals stop by and chat while we’re unloading the trailers. It gets really loud once the ginning starts. We have to shout to be heard over the hum of the motors. Every year, the pile of cotton grows and then shrinks as we process it through the machines. It’s a cycle we know well. Sometimes the machinery acts up and we spend the whole afternoon with wrenches and oily rags trying to fix a gear. It’s not a clean job by any means. By the time I go home, I’m covered in white fluff and sweat. We don’t have much in the way of signs, just the address and the name painted on the wall. Most people know where we are because of the trucks. We keep things simple.
