Om Sai Cotton Industries

Om Sai Cotton Industries is found at Sy No 291 in Gadia Gowraram Village and Post, within the Chinthapally Mandal. This is a very rural area and we are surrounded by a lot of farmland. Our work revolves entirely around the cotton season, which keeps us on our toes for several months of the year. The facility at Sy No 291 is where the local farmers bring their pickings. We have a large open area for drying and a covered section where the ginning happens. It is a very hands-on job, and you can expect to be covered in lint from head to toe by the time the sun goes down. We have some older scales that we use for weighing the bags, and there is always a bit of a queue of tractors when things get busy. The village of Gadia Gowraram is a close-knit community, and most of the people working here live just a short walk away. We do not have any big signs or advertisements; people just know where we are by the sound of the machines and the sight of the white bales. The office is just a small corner with a table and a few chairs for when the farmers come in to settle their accounts. It is honest work and we take it day by day, making sure the cotton is processed and ready for the trucks to take to the larger markets nearby.
