B.M. Poultry Farm

This is the poultry farm run by the family here in Lal Thanda. It’s out in the Sirikonda area, under the Mothey mandal. My father, Ramulu, started things and we just kept going with it. Being at H No 4-12, we are a bit away from the main town, which is good for the birds. Life on a poultry farm means getting up before the sun. There is always cleaning to do or feed to move around. It's a lot of manual labor, but we are used to it by now. The village of Lal Thanda is a quiet place mostly. We deal with the local markets and sometimes people come directly to us. It’s not a high-tech operation. We just have the sheds and the land. Keeping the chickens healthy is the main thing we worry about every single day. The weather can be a problem, especially when it gets too hot in the summer months. We have to make sure there's enough water and shade. It’s a simple life out here in Mothey. We don't have a big office or fancy equipment. Just the farm and our hands. People around here know us as Ramulu’s sons. We’ve been part of this community for a long time. It’s hard work, and the smell isn't always great, but it’s our living. We just keep our heads down and do the chores that need doing.
