Bitchi Pulses Cultivation

We are out here in Kadapagandi Tanda, near Jangam, mostly working the land every day. It is a quiet place if you don't count the birds and the occasional tractor going by. Bitchi Pulses Cultivation is basically what we do, growing different kinds of pulses depending on what the season allows. The soil here has its own way of doing things, and we just try to keep up with it. It’s not fancy work. Our hands are usually dirty and the sun gets pretty hot by noon, so we start early. Sometimes the rain helps us out and sometimes it doesn't show up at all, which makes things harder. We have been at this for a while now at house 103. People around here know where to find us if they need to talk about the crop or just see how things are growing this year. We spend most of our time checking the fields and making sure everything is drying right after the harvest. It is just a regular life in the village. There isn't much to say other than we work hard and hope for a good yield. The Kadapagandi area is home to us, and the pulses are what keep us busy from morning till night. We don't have a big office or anything, just the fields and the storage space we use. It’s simple, honest work that we’ve been doing for years now. We just take it one day at a time.
