Bade Suguna.

My place is right on the Main Road in Thummalapenpahad. The house number is 11-46. Being on the main road means there's always noise from the buses and tractors passing by. Atmakur-S is the main area nearby, but we are a bit further out in the village. I’ve been here in Nalgonda district for a long time. My work involves a lot of interaction with people who are just passing through. It’s not a polished business with a lot of staff. It’s just me, Bade Suguna., looking after things. I keep the front area clean, though the dust from the road makes it hard. Sometimes I sit outside and watch the vehicles go by while I wait for customers. People stop by for small things or just to ask for directions. The sun hits the front of the building hard in the afternoon, so I have a small shade set up. Inside, it’s just a few shelves and a table where I keep my things. I don't have a computer or anything, I just write everything down in a big ledger book. It’s a simple way to keep track. Life in Thummalapenpahad is mostly about the farming seasons, but being on the road gives me a different view of things. I see a lot of faces. Some I know well, and some I’ll never see again. I just keep the shop open and take each day as it comes. It can get lonely when it's quiet.
